About
You're just going to have to take my word for it... I'm dead interesting, a good bloke and well worth reading on a regular basis. I've had an original and unorthodox self-styled journey through life and my gut's been telling me recently that now's the right time to share my thoughts and experiences, lessons learned and, I'm delighted to say, my music. I've learned over the years to ignore gut feelings at my peril, so here we are.
Along the way, I've been professionally employed, self-employed and unemployed, a doctor, psychiatrist and musician, a singer, pianist and trumpeter. I've been financially comfortable, totally penniless and somewhere in between. I've been mainly sane, often troubled but also insane. I've experienced contentment but also ecstasy and hopelessness, thankfully not in equal measure. I live in the UK, but had a stint in Australia and have travelled widely. I'm Jewish but agnostic, heterosexual but single. And I'm a lifelong Manchester United fan(atic). That one's non-negotiable.
So here's the thing. I believe that when someone has seen life from many different angles, there's a good chance they can offer up perspectives, knowledge and opinions that at the very least are interesting or entertaining, but at best can help others reflect on aspects of their own life more clearly. Countless people have turned to me over the years to help them resolve personal issues, turn corners, navigate major crossroads, make life changes, or realise that none of those were necessary. People tend to consider me a therapeutic chap to have around. The only project I've probably failed with is myself. However, this blog is not intended to be a veiled self help guide for either of us. I'd just like to share my thoughts with you, and let you make of it what you will.

My only request if I may, is that if you do enjoy the blog, please share it widely with your friends. We know more than ever about the power of viral spread (!) and I need your help to build my numbers up before my own number is up (that's how we depressive fatalists roll).

Enjoy Sassooning!
